	At the occasion of the &amp;quot;4th African Population Conference: Population and Poverty in Africa: revealing challenges for the 21th century&amp;quot; organized by the Union for African Population Studies and the National Family and Population Office of Tunisia, in Tunis (Tunisia) the European Commission commissioned the expert group to identify key points and to formulate recommendations for better addressing population issues in its health programmes. The expert group was asked to do so in the following areas:
