PARTICIPANTS

• Staff and collaborators of the ICRH, based in Belgium, Kenya, Nicaragua, Mozambique and Chile
• Experts from several faculties and departments of Ghent University, and of external universities

OBJECTIVES

• To improve the capacities of ICRH staff and collaborators in research methodology

METHODS

• Organisation of a 5 days workshop
• During the workshop, principles of quantitative as well as qualitative research were explained, and research results presented.
• The importance of publication and dissemination of results was also emphasized

RESULTS

• The workshop not only strengthened the research capacity of ICRH collaborators, it also improved collaboration between the head office and the field settings and between individual researcher
