ICRH Quarterly -- Issue IV -- October - December 2007 | ICRH

Here we present to you already the fourth ICRH quarterly, which means we've given you updates and information for one year! We are striving - as responsible researchers- to be transparent about our programs and research and also share new programs, updates and results because we are proud of the work that the staff and collaborators perform. The theme of this quarterly newsletter is female controlled barrier methods. We have included interesting results from two studies, one assessing the safety and acceptability of the diaphragm and one study assessing the effectiveness of adding the female condom to a male condom promotion programme. As usual, we include updated information on each of the ICRH projects that are ongoing. A milestone in the last quarter was the annual ICRH Kenya briefing day that was held on September 21st. This was our second annual dissemination. The successful event was opened by Dr Kahindi, the PMO Coast Province, closed by Prof Orago, Director NACC and attended by over 50 guests from various partners and stakeholders from across the country.
I would also like to take this opportunity to introduce to you Dr Saade Abdallah, who has recently joined ICRH and will be directing our research activities. Her wealth of experience in many parts of the world will be a welcome addition to our team.
